My Battle with COVID

Thank you for coming back to my blog. This is going to be my last post for a while. I want to thank you for reading this far and coming back for every post. This post will talk about my battle with COVID.

As a lot of people my age, I thought I was untouchable. I have been out with friends in large groups and I thought I wouldn’t end up getting COVID. Until I mistakenly went to a party on New Years Eve and about 95% of people who went to the party ended up getting COVID including myself. I thought getting this virus would be fairly mild and while my symptoms were not so severe, my mind started getting the best of me. The tough thing about this all the uncertainties it brings. Not knowing what can happen and what the long term affects are can drive a person crazy which is was happened to me. I still to this day have really bad anxiety and depression from getting this disease. I have been constantly worried something might happen to me and it has consumed me these past 5 months.

I have isolated myself from my friends and have sat at home for the most part. I want people who’re reading this to know this, while COVID is something we can’t take too lightly, I want everyone to know that it is something that we can get through. I have been getting better in this past month and I am proof that if you are healthy, it should be something relatively manageable and you need to constantly remind yourself tst you will be okay. It is something I’ve had to do to reassure myself nothing too bad will happen to me.

While things are getting better with the vaccines, it is important to wear a mask, practice social distance, and do whatever you can to stay healthy so we can defeat this together and return to normalcy.

Thank you for coming back to my blog and hopefully in the near future I will be able to continue this information for you all.
